My name is Debbie, and I’m known as The Flooring Girl. I owned a shop at home flooring Service in Westchester County, NY. I started my flooring blog in 2011 and I’m “self taught.” My flooring blog now gets well over 80,000 unique visitors per month and helped me generate business while I was out helping my customers.
By the way, if you’d like to start your own website (either for your business or personal use), follow my article on this simple 3 step process to start a website on your own. You’ll be surprised at how easy it is (and you can do it very inexpensively…in fact, close to free).
Prior to starting my own business, I was a Marketing Director in the corporate world, and I spent 12 years working at Procter & Gamble, Cadbury Schweppes and Revlon. I have grown both small and large businesses.
My marketing and business management skills have served me well, and now I’m starting a new blog about marketing to help other business owners, especially those that own small women owned businesses.
As a woman in a male dominated market (flooring), I’ve learned how to be successful and differentiate. I’ve had many women support my business, and I want to give back to other women. Whether you are looking to start a new business (full time or part-time) or kick your business in high gear, this blog will help you in that endeavor.
I’ve been featured in the Entrepreneur.com, Money Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Property Brothers and Sell This House.
I hope you find these tips helpful, and I hope they help you grow and accelerate your business.
